Bon Jovi announces 'One Wild Night' North American tour
Bon Jovi has unveiled the dates for its upcoming North American tour in support of last year’s “Crush” (Island). The outing--dubbed the “One Wild Night” tour--is set to get underway on April 18, and dates are scheduled through late July.
General on-sale dates for tickets to the upcoming shows have not yet been set. Fans can register at the band’s official website, however, to receive a “special email” on Feb. 21 that will give them an opportunity to purchase tickets to the upcoming U.S. dates via an online pre-sale, according to Island Records. Those who register will have a shot at purchasing up to four tickets to any U.S. dates at least two days before the general on-sale begins.
As part of the pre-sale promotion, fans who register will be able to purchase a copy of “Crush”--as well as a copy of the band’s DVD/VHS “The Crush Tour”--at a discount price, and will also automatically be entered to win an autographed guitar from the band.
The tour’s May 17 and May 19 stops in Canada are not included in the upcoming pre-sale promotion, according to details on the band’s official website.
“Crush,” Bon Jovi ’s seventh album, was released last June, and debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The disc was certified platinum last September by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping 1 million copies.
“It’s My Life,” the first single from “Crush,” peaked at No. 11 on Billboard’s Top 40 Adult chart last October.
In January, Bon Jovi received Grammy nominations in the Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group (“It’s My Life”) categories. The ceremony is set to air on Feb. 21.
Bon Jovi’s previously announced European tour is set to begin in late May, and will be sandwiched between the group’s May and July North American dates.
