U.K. Charts: Dido's double-platinum LP holds No. 1 spot
LONDON-- Dido remains atop the Official U.K. Album Chart for a fourth week in a row with "No Angel."
The former Faithless member's first solo album has been certified double-platinum in Britain, selling over 600,000 copies to date. She has also been nominated for Best British Female Artist at this year's Brit Awards, which will be held on Monday night (2/26).
Dance-meets-pop artist Anastacia stays at No. 2 for another week with her first album, "Not That Kind." Eva Cassidy makes a big jump this week as her album "Songbird" rises from No. 18 to No. 3, followed by Toploader's "Onka's Big Moka" which rises from No. 5 to No. 4.
Meanwhile, Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" rises from No. 6 to No. 5 and Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP" rises from No. 10 to No. 6. Wheatus' self-titled debut album is the highest new entry of the week at No. 7, Coldplay's "Parachutes" clocks in at No. 8 and Papa Roach's "Infest" is up from No. 11 to No. 9.
Down two places from No. 8, U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind" rounds out the Top 10.
Girl band Atomic Kitten's single "Whole Again" also stays at the top of the Official U.K. Singles Chart for a fourth week in a row. It has been certified gold, having sold over 200,000 copies.
OutKast is the highest new entry of the week at No. 2 with "Ms. Jackson," and Samantha Mumba's "Always Come Back To Your Love" debuts at No. 3.
Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag" falls from No. 2 to No. 4, and Melanie B's "Feels So Good" enters the chart at No. 5. A1 also had a Top 10 debut this week with "No More" at No. 6.
Dido's single "Here With Me" falls from No. 4 to No. 7, and is followed by Jakatta's "American Dream" at No. 8.
"Shut Up and Forget About It," the latest release from Dane Bowers, debuts at No. 9, and Stuntmasterz round out the Top 10 with their new single "The Ladyboy Is Mine."
Other notable new entries include Marilyn Manson's "The Fight Song," which only makes it to No. 24, Mystikal featuring Nivea at No. 28 and Semisonic at No. 35.
