An assistant district attorney in the Sean "Puffy" Combs trial asked the court to hold Combs in contempt for violating a gag order meant to prevent the parties in the case from talking to the press, the Associated Press reported. Combs had issued a statement saying that he would testify in his own defense in the trial, and that his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez would not testify.

Kylie Minogue canceled the opening date of her first tour in nine years due to inclement weather. She was to perform in Dublin, Ireland, on Thursday evening (3/1), but she couldn't reach the city because its airport is closed and ferries cannot cross the Irish Sea. The date hadn't been rescheduled by press time.

Southern rock duo Van Zant will participate in a webchat on USAToday.com on Friday (3/2).

ZDNet reported on a virus that is currently spreading among users of the Gnutella file-trading service. The purpose of the virus--called a "worm"--apparently is to enter a file-trading service and make it easier for other, presumably more destructive viruses to enter after it. Reportedly, the virus is easily recognized by its constant 8,192-byte size.

Vanderbilt University's First Amendment Center is taking its "Freedom Sings" concert to New York's Bottom Line on March 5. Featured acts include Janis Ian, Tom Paxton, and Jefferson Starship's Marty Balin and Paul Kantner.
