Sting doubles upcoming U.S. tour itinerary

Sting , who last week announced plans to return to the U.S. for a series of concerts in May, has added eight more shows to that run, bringing the outing’s total to 16 dates. The jaunt is set to get underway on May 5 in Washington, D.C.
Tickets for two of the upcoming dates--including the May 5 kick-off--are already on sale. A newly added New York date is set to hit the box office on Friday (3/9), and two more on-sales are set for mid-month. Details appear below in the tour itinerary.
As previously reported, Grammy-nominated R&B singer Jill Scott will occupy the support slot on Sting’s upcoming outing.
Sting is touring in support of 1999’s “Brand New Day” (Interscope). The former Police frontman has been on the road almost non-stop since the album’s release.
