Initial Ozzfest dates announced, more to come

Dates, places and ticket on-sale dates for summer Ozzfest shows in 10 U.S. cities have been divulged via the tour’s official website.

The tour will begin in the U.K. with a May 26 show at Milton Keynes--the tour’s only planned show in Europe--and will open its U.S. leg on June 8 at the World Music Theatre near Chicago.

The festival features Black Sabbath [ tickets ] as the main stage headliners, joined by Marilyn Manson [ tickets ], Slipknot [ tickets ], Papa Roach [ tickets ], Linkin Park [ tickets ] and Crazytown. Disturbed heads up the second stage.

Additional acts scheduled to perform on the second and third stages include Mudvayne, Cold, Taproot, Union Underground, Nonpoint, Black Label Society, American Head Charge, Pure Rubbish, Hatebreed, Drowning Pool, Systematic, Beautiful Creatures, Boy Hits Car, Godhead, Otep, and one additional act to be announced.

Additional dates and ticket on-sale information will be released later this week, according to the official Ozzfest website.
