Everclear assembles May tour of the U.K. and Ireland
LONDON--Hard rock trio Everclear has announced a seven-date mini-tour of the U.K. and Ireland to follow its support slot on matchbox twenty's current North American tour. The group, fronted by Art Alexakis, will play midsize venues, beginning at SFX in Dublin on May 25 and finishing at Brixton Academy in London on June 1.
The outing follows the release of the group's companion albums "Songs from an American Movie Vol. 1: Learning How to Smile" and "Songs from an American Movie Vol. 2: Good Time for a Bad Attitude" in 2000. "Vol. 1" peaked at No. 9 in the Billboard 200 chart last July while "Vol. 2" peaked at No. 66 in the Billboard 200 last December.
