U.K. Concert Outlook: Robbie Williams, Kid Rock, Weezer, EMF
Robbie Williams has announced his biggest show on continental Europe to date. He will play to 65,000 people at the Mungerdorfer Football Stadium in Cologne, Germany on Aug. 11. He has also been confirmed to headline this year's Roskilde festival in Denmark.
Kid Rock is scheduled to play his first U.K. gig in two years at London's Brixton Academy on June 5. Tickets are £12.50 and on sale now.
Mudvayne has canceled its U.K. shows scheduled for the end of March due to vocalist Chad's throat problems. No alternative shows have been announced yet. The affected shows are Glasgow Garage (3/25), Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (3/26), Manchester MDH (3/27) and London Astoria (3/28). Tickets can be returned to point of purchase for a refund.
Veteran punk group Television will follow its appearance at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival with a one-off show in London at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on April 15. Tickets are on sale now.
Alternative American band Weezer will also play a one-off gig at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on July 4. Tickets are £12.50 and on sale now.
The Creamfields Ireland dance festival will include headliners Fatboy Slim, Beck, the Chemical Brothers, OutKast and Paul Oakenfold. Tickets for the event, which takes place at the Punchestown racecourse on June 23, go on sale on Saturday (3/24) and cost £51.
Alternative dance act EMF has reformed to play its first live show in six years at the London Astoria on June 5. The gig will promote the group's greatest hits compilation, "Epsom Mad Funkers - The Best of EMF," which is due on June 11.
Former Kenickie member Lauren Laverne is scheduled to play her first headlining solo show at the Spitz in London on April 9.
The Black Crowes and Ash have been announced as support for the Stereophonics' a Day at the Races shows at Donington Race Track (7/14) and Cheptow Race Course (7/21).
