U.K. Charts: Eva Cassidy keeps Manics from No. 1 spot
LONDON-- Eva Cassidy 's "Songbird" stays at the top of Official U.K. Album chart for a second week in a row, preventing the Manic Street Preachers ' new album, "Know Thy Enemy," from reaching No. 1.
At No. 2, the Manics latest release is the highest new entry of the week. Dido's "No Angel" stays at No. 3, and Billy Joel's "The Ultimate Collection" debuts at No. 4.
David Gray 's "White Ladder" falls from No. 4 to No. 5, and Lionel Richie's "Renaissance" climbs the chart from No. 10 to No. 6.
Anastacia's "Not That Kind" falls from No. 6 to No. 7, as Daft Punk's "Discovery"--last week's highest new entry--falls from No. 2 to No. 8 and Coldplay's "Parachutes" drops from No. 5 to No. 9.
Texas ' "The Greatest Hits," up 13 places from No. 23, rounds out the Top 10.
Meanwhile, over on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, Hear'Say holds on to the No. 1 position for a second week in a row with "Pure and Simple," and the Stereophonics have the highest debut of the week with "Mr Writer" at No. 5.
