Barry White To Return To The Road After Hospital Stay
Barry White 's bedroom baritone will be back on the road Sept. 10, a little more than a month after he checked himself into a San Diego hospital citing exhaustion.
White's fatigue resulted in the postponement of a portion of a co-headlining arena tour with Earth, Wind, and Fire last month. Three of those dates have been rescheduled: White and Earth, Wind, and Fire will now play at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif. on Sept. 28; in Concord, Calif., at the Concord Pavilion on Sept. 30; and at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., on Oct. 1.
There's no word yet on the rescheduling of cancelled shows in Detroit, Dallas and Nashville. White has also booked a European tour which kicks off in Stockholm, Sweden, on Nov. 10 and wraps with two nights in Brussels beginning on New Year's Eve.
The 54-year-old White is touring in support of ''Staying Power,'' his first new album since 1994.
