Aaron Carter to tour with A*Teens this summer
Teen singer Aaron Carter and Swedens A*Teens are pairing up for a summer tour of amphitheaters, parks and arenas that is slated to begin on June 17 in Santa Barbara, Calif.
The tour announcement comes on the heels of a successful week for Carter, the brother of Backstreet Boys Nick Carter. His U.S. debut, "Aarons Party (Come Get It)" (Jive), bolted 11 spots to No. 4 on the Billboard 200 album chart, after selling more than 100,000 copies this week. It was certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Carter will perform "That's How I Beat Shaq," the second single from "Aaron's Party," on "The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards" on Saturday (4/21) on Nickelodeon and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday (424).
Carter recently hit Broadway as well, and is starring in the hit show "Seussical" through May 6.
Meanwhile, A*Teens' new record, "Teen Spirit" (Stockholm/MCA), is also selling well, moving from No. 96 last week to No. 63. The bands first album, "The ABBA Generation," was filled with covers of the 70s pop legends music.
