Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Trisha Yearwood to perform at Dallas charity gala

Don Henley and his Eagles ' bandmates Glen Frey, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh will perform a "casual" set for guests of the 16th annual Yellow Rose MS Foundation Gala in on Saturday (4/21) in Dallas, according to the foundation. Stevie Nicks and Trisha Yearwood are also scheduled to perform.

The sold-out event at the Hotel-Intercontinental--for which more than 1,500 people paid at least $300 for a seat--is expected to raise $1 million for MS research. Henley and his wife, Sharon, are the gala's honorary chairs, and actor Ed Begley, Jr., will emcee.

Eagles ' fans in attendance will have the chance to bid for the chance to meet the band and see it in concert at one of its 2001 concert dates in Europe.

The Eagles plan to play just one full-blown U.S. concert in 2001, on July 28 at the new American Airlines Center in Dallas. The group will, however, open a seven-week European tour in Moscow on May 29.

Stevie Nicks , who will release a new album titled "Trouble in Shangri-La" on May 1, plans to tour the North American amphitheater circuit this summer.

The Yellow Rose MS Foundation was established in 1986 by Dee and Jimmy Wynne to fund research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas to find the cure for MS.
