Rolling Stones Confirm Bryan Adams, Green Day Dates On 1999 Tour
Bryan Adams, Green Day and Big Sugar have locked in dates as opening acts on the Rolling Stones' No Security tour, set to begin January 25th in Oakland, CA. The Canadian pop star will open the first seven dates of the tour before handing the baton to Green Day, who will start their run with Anaheim, CA's Arrowhead Pond show.
Green Day will open five shows, split by a Jonny Lang booking in North Dakota. The Flys have been named to open the tour's two Florida shows, and Big Sugar, with a strong Canadian following, will support the tour's only Canadian date. As previously announced, The Corrs will open five dates, the Goo Goo Dolls will open six northeast shows and Jonny Lang will open the final six dates of the US tour.
The Rolling Stones tour will help set the pace for what is expected to be one of the most lucrative touring years in history as artists jockey for position to take part in the final concert season of 1999, leading toward a host of New Year's Millenium showcases. Most Millenium-related concerts are expected to dwarf the $300 top price of the current Stones tour.
