Blink-182 announces summer dates
Pop punkers Blink-182 have unveiled the first batch of dates for their summer amphitheater tour, set to kick off on July 4 in Moline, Ill. More than a dozen shows have been confirmed, and more will be announced soon, according to MCA Records.
On May 14, Blink-182 will announce the details of an Internet pre-sale that begins on May 18. Tickets go on sale through traditional outlets on May 19 for the first leg of shows, which will run from July 4-23. A June 9 on-sale is scheduled for the tour's second leg, which runs July 25 to Aug. 30.
The jaunt includes multiple-night stands in Clarkston, Mich., and Wantaugh, N.Y., and the tour will include two opening acts. New Found Glory will appear on all dates, while the other slot will be filled by a rotating group of openers.
Blink-182 will also perform as part of the Vans Warped Tour on July 14 at Somerset Park in Somerset, Wis., the band's only Warped date.
The band's tour will support its forthcoming album, "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket," due in stores on June 12.
