Though tickets will carry price tags ranging from $45 to $250 apiece--even before taxes and fees--concert industry sources expect Madonna [ tickets ]'s Drowned World Tour to post quick sellouts in all of the markets it visits this summer. General on-sales will be begin for several of the tour's stops in the coming days.

Since demand will almost surely exceed supply, fans will need persistence, luck, or a combination of both to purchase these tickets. Long lines are probable at many box offices and ticketing outlets. Those who try to purchase tickets by telephone should expect to endure some busy signals, and Internet ticketing sites will probably be operating slowly.

On Saturday (5/12) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets will go on sale for Madonna's Philadelphia, Boston, and Auburn Hills, Mich., appearances. At 10 a.m. Central Time, fans will get a shot at purchasing tickets for Madonna's Chicago dates.

On Sunday (5/13) at 10 a.m., Pacific Time, ticket on-sales will begin for Madonna's upcoming appearances at the Arena in Oakland, Calif.

Tickets for several other Madonna appearances will go on sale next weekend, according to promoter SFX Entertainment.

On-sales are scheduled to begin for at least three Aerosmith [ tickets ] shows on Saturday (5/12): 9 a.m. Eastern Time for a Wantagh, N.Y., show, 10 a.m. Eastern Time for West Palm Beach, Fla., and 10 a.m. Central Time for Memphis.

Tickets for 'NSync's June 21 appearance at Cleveland Browns Stadium--the second of the group's two planned appearances at the venue--will go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (5/12).

Backstreet Boys [ tickets ] tickets will go on sale in four markets on Saturday (5/12). At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, on-sales will begin for shows in Greenville, S.C., and Cincinnati. Also at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, ticket on-sales begin through Ticketmaster Canada for an upcoming show in Kanata, Ontario. At 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets go on sale for an appearance in Houston.

Tickets hit the market on Saturday (5/12) for three upcoming Janet Jackson [ tickets ] performances. At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets for shows in Lexington, Ky., and Indianapolis will go on sale. And at noon Mountain Time, tickets for her Phoenix appearance will go on sale.
