Alanis Morissette sets European tour, L.A. warm-up shows

Alanis Morissette is spending her June 1 birthday kicking off an overseas tour that runs through July 15, though she will briefly return to her native Canada to play a July 1 show in Ottawa, Ontario. Prior to the 12-country jaunt, Morissette will play two warm-up gigs in Los Angeles.

Tickets to Morrisette's Los Angeles appearances, which will take place at the El Rey Theatre on May 25 and 26, are scheduled to go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Sunday (5/13) through her official website only.

Morrisette also is scheduled to make a previously announced July 31 appearance at the Egan Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Tickets go on sale on Saturday (5/12), according to promoter Goldenvoice.

According to her publicist, the tour's set list will include songs from her multi-platinum "Jagged Little Pill" and "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie" (Maverick), as well as "songs that may be included on her next release." Reuters news service clarified the vague comment by reporting that Morissette’s new album is finished, but she is refusing to deliver the tapes to Maverick because of a contract dispute.
