Papa Roach, Slipknot and others link for Big Day Off tour

Papa Roach , Slipknot , Disturbed , Linkin Park and Mudvayne are teaming up this summer for an outing that has been dubbed the Big Day Off tour. The groups--all of which are also on the bill for this summer’s Ozzfest tour--have made plans to use the days between Ozzfest performances to hit markets that Ozzfest won't visit.

Eight Big Day Off stops have been lined up so far. All five bands are scheduled to perform at each, with the exception of the June 15 performance in Moline, Ill., which will feature only Papa Roach, Slipknot and Mudvayne, according to a spokesperson for Papa Roach.

The Big Day Off outing is scheduled to kick-off in Springfield, Mo., on June 10, two days after Ozzfest commences in Chicago.

In addition to the five acts featured on the Big Day Off spin-off, the Ozzfest lineup also includes Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Crazytown, Cold, Taproot, Union Underground, Nonpoint and others.
