Sugar Ray takes to the road with Uncle Kracker

Sugar Ray has scheduled a tour of small clubs and theaters in support of its forthcoming self-titled album. The run, which features openers Uncle Kracker and TheStart, kicks off on July 10 in Dallas and winds up on Aug. 18 in Pompano Beach, Fla.

Sugar Ray, whose album hits stores on June 12 on Atlantic Records, is offering the first single, "When Its Over," for download via its official website. The video debuted at No. 8 on MTVs "Total Request Live" on May 17 and an animated version of the clip will air on the Cartoon Network website on June 4.

Kid Rocks DJ Uncle Kracker has seen his album, "Double Wide" (Top Dog/Lava/Atlantic), shoot up the charts as of late, thanks to the melancholy single "Follow Me." The platinum-certified "Double Wide" sits at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

TheStart, which includes former Snot drummer Jamie Miller on bass and keyboards, releases its debut, "Shakedown!" on the Label--a record company created by management company the Firm--this summer. According to the bands official website, TheStart is the first band signed to the Label. The record was produced by the band and Josh Abraham (Orgy, Coal Chamber, Staind).
