Tesla plots next leg of tour, readies live album
Tesla , which last week wrapped up the latest leg of its reunion tour, has added another round of dates that will begin at the end of the month. Meanwhile, the group is using the downtime to assemble a live album.
The forthcoming live album will feature previously released tracks that were recorded earlier this year. The band is shooting for an August release date, according to its official website. At the site, fans can vote for the tracks that they would like to see included on the album.
Earlier this year, the group indicated that, in addition to preparing the forthcoming live album, it was writing material for a new studio album. No word has been given on when that album might surface. The group's most recent studio release is 1994's gold-certified "Bust a Nut." The band broke up shortly after its release.
Last October, Tesla reunited for a sold-out show at the Arco Arena in its hometown of Sacramento, Calif. A handful of well-attended December shows followed, prompting the band to embark on a full-scale reunion tour that began in February.
