Weekend Ticketing: Radiohead, Tim McGraw, Stevie Nicks

Radiohead didn't tour behind last fall’s “Kid A,” but it is supporting its latest, “Amnesiac,” with a North American tour that begins next week. Tickets for a number of the tour's August dates hit the box office this weekend.

On Saturday (6/16) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets are scheduled to go on sale for Radiohead’s upcoming stops in Atlanta, Toronto, and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, as well as for the group’s two-night stands in Centreville, Va., and Jersey City, N.J. Tickets to the group’s Atlanta performance follow at noon Eastern Time.

A Saturday on-sale is also set for tickets to the group’s Chicago and Montreal stops, according to Capitol Records, though specific on-sale times were not available at press time.

An online pre-sale for tickets to most of the aforementioned shows began on Thursday (6/14).

Tickets to the group’s Boston concert are currently available online through Tickets.com, and will be available through local walk-in outlets on Saturday, according to Tickets.com.

Headliner Tim McGraw and opening act Kenny Chesney--who are free to tour this summer following their recent acquittal on charges stemming from an alleged horse-jacking and police scuffle--are set to kick off their outing next Wednesday (6/20). A sizeable batch of tickets for the run will go on sale this Saturday (6/16).

At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, 9 a.m. Central Time, tickets will be released for McGraw’s stops in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Orlando, Virginia Beach, and both Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C. An 11 a.m. Eastern Time on-sale is then set for tickets to the Bristow, Va., stop, as is a noon Eastern Time on-sale for tickets to the Albany, N.Y., stop.

A noon Central Time on-sale is set for the tour’s date in Chicago.

Tickets to a pair of Stevie Nicks ’ West Coast dates are set for release this weekend. Look for tickets to her San Diego stop to surface at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday (6/16), followed by the 1 p.m. Pacific Time, Internet-only release of tickets to her Irvine, Calif., performance. Tickets for the latter date will be available by both phone and at ticket outlets--in addition to the Internet--beginning on Monday (6/18).

On Monday, tickets to her two-night stand in Universal City, Calif., are set for release at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

At 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (6/16), fans of Destiny’s Child, Nelly, Eve, Jessica Simpson and 3LW will get a crack at tickets to see those artists perform in Holmdel, N.J., and Wantaugh, N.Y., later this summer. The lineup comprises MTVs first-ever “TRL Tour,” so named after the network’s popular “Total Request Live” program.

Tickets to catch Sade in Atlanta and New Orleans go on sale on Saturday (6/16) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time and 10 a.m. Central Time, respectively. The singer’s current tour is her first in almost eight years.

Crosby, Stills & Nash--sans Young, who’s doing his own tour of Europe this summer--are heading out yet again. Tickets for the trio’s stop in Columbia, Md., go on sale on Saturday (6/16) at noon Eastern Time, while tickets to the Chicago date will be released on Sunday (6/17) at noon Central Time.

R. Kelly is hitting the road with Sunshine Anderson and Syleena Johnson for a summer tour that kicks off in July. On Saturday (6/16), tickets for the outing’s Detroit engagement will go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, the Chicago stop at 11 a.m. Central Time and the Las Vegas performance at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Sunday (6/17) on-sales are then set at 10 a.m. Pacific Time for the tour’s Los Angeles stop, and at noon Pacific Time for the tour’s Anaheim stop.
