update: G. Love and Special Sauce have extended their tour in support of "Electric Mile" (Epic/Okeh) into mid-July.

The band--lead vocalist-guitarist G. Love (born Garrett Dunton), acoustic bassist Jim Prescott and drummer Jeffrey Clemens--recorded "Electric Mile" during a break from touring late last year at Longview Farms studio outside of Boston. The album, which hit stores April 24, features a slew of special guests including Morphine [ tickets ] percussionist Billy Conway and Medeski Martin & Wood [ tickets ] keyboardist John Medeski.

Besides touring, G. Love and Special Sauce are keeping busy as the house band for Comedy Central's "Turn Ben Stein On," which airs at 11:30 p.m. EST on Thursdays.
