Former Beach Boys member Al Jardine has sued his former bandmates and Brother Records for "at least $4 million," claiming that they wrongfully gave Mike Love the exclusive right to tour under the Beach Boys name, Sonicnet reported.

NME.com reported that BBC Radio 2 will air a 10-part documentary on Bob Dylan , beginning on Wednesday (7/11). The documentary is reportedly hosted by Kris Kristofferson and features comments from Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, among others.
According to Billboard.com, Atlantic Records was going to put out the solo album from Darius Rucker, frontman for Hootie and the Blowfish, but then changed its mind. Atlantic is Hootie and the Blowfish's label.
Rucker's manager told Billboard that Rucker has not yet signed a solo deal with another label.
Country singer-songwriter Johnny Russell died on Tuesday (7/3) at age 61, CNN.com reported. Russell reportedly "had battled leukemia, diabetes and other ailments." He co-wrote the song "Act Naturally" with Voni Morrison.
Roy Nichols, longtime guitarist of Merle Haggard, died of a heart attack on Tuesday (7/3), the Los Angeles Times reported. He was 68.
The Times' obituary quoted Haggard as saying, "Chet Atkins and Roy Nichols were the two most influential guitar players in [the last] century."
Atkins passed away three days earlier, on June 30.
R&B singer Ernie K-Doe died on Thursday (7/5) at age 65, the Associated Press reported. His death was reportedly the result of "various internal illnesses." K-Doe's biggest hit was the song "Mother-In-Law."
Filmmaker Victory Tischler-Blue is two or three months away from completing the documentary "Edgeplay: A Film About the Runaways," KNAC.com reported. The Runaways lineup included Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Cherie Currie and Sandy West.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that New Orleans' city council voted on Thursday (7/5) to change the name of New Orleans International Airport to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The legendary trumpeter would have turned 100 on Aug. 2.
Amazon has ceased to offer free shipping on books, music and videos, CNet.com reported on Friday (7/6); the offer lasted for about two weeks. According to CNet, Amazon concurrently raised prices on the items for which it was offering free shipping.
Incidentally, the L.A. Weekly reported a couple of weeks ago, "Typical online record distributors and retailers, such as Amazon, take 50 percent of the artist's cut of sales in exchange for overhead and promotion."
