Deftones frontman sidelined, band cancels Bay Area show

Deftones canceled their Tuesday (7/17) show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre near San Francisco after an ear, nose and throat specialist's ordered frontman Chino Moreno to rest his vocal chords, according to the band's publicist.

The band's next scheduled show is in on Wednesday (7/18) in Irvine, Calif. According to a press release, Moreno will seek a medical opinion on whether he will be able to perform that night.

Deftones also canceled a show in their hometown of Sacramento, Calif., on Sunday (7/15), and Moreno did not appear with his bandmates on the Monday (7/16) edition of the syndicated radio show "Rockline."
