Dave Matthews joins Farm Aid bill

Dave Matthews will perform a solo set at this year's Farm Aid benefit concert, which takes place on Sept. 29 near Indianapolis. Event co-founders Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young are also scheduled to perform.

Tickets for Farm Aid--to be held at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Ind.--will go on sale on Saturday (8/11) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. The concert will be telecast live by CMT: Country Music Television for the fourth consecutive year.

Founded in 1985 to help raise awareness for the plight of the independent American farmer, Farm Aid claims that it has donated over $16 million to more than 100 farm organizations, churches, and service agencies in 44 states.
