Briefly News and Comment: Phish live CDs, KISS box set

Phish announced that it will release six groups of six multi-disc live albums. The first group will be released on Sept. 18--actually, five CDs from that group will be released on Sept. 18, and the sixth will be released in October. Each of the other groups of six albums will be released every six months.

KISS announced that it will release a box set on Nov. 6, Launch.com reported. The track list reportedly has yet to be determined.

Two members of Junior M.A.F.I.A.--Lil' Cease (a.k.a James Lloyd) and Banger (a.k.a. Antoine Spain)--and Junior M.A.F.I.A. bodyguard Suif Jackson were arrested on Friday (8/10) in connection with the shooting of a 21-year-old man, Billboard.com reported.

Suge Knight has changed the name of his label, Death Row Records, to Tha Row, MTV.com reported. Knight reportedly said that the name Death Row now refers to the label's back catalog.

The Gibson Les Paul Model guitar turns 50 on Monday (8/13), the Associated Press reported.
