Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro [ tickets ] has lined up a short solo tour that will take place while his band fine tunes its plans for an early fall reunion outing that was originally expected to begin this month. Navarro’s solo venture kicks off on Aug. 30 in Boston, and runs for less than a month.

He is touring in support of his debut album, “Trust No One” (Capitol Records), which features guest appearances by Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Jonatha Brooke), Matt Chamberlain (ex-Smashing Pumpkins) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

The album’s second single, “Hungry,” will be released to radio on Sept. 3. Navarro’s first single, “Rexall,” peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's July 14 Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Two radio festival appearances are on Navarro's schedule: Charlotte, N.C.'s Weenie Roast 7, presented by 106.5 the End, and Atlanta's Big Day Out, presented by 99X.

Jane's Addiction [ tickets ], which reunited for a few one-off appearances and concerts this year, is now expected to open a tour in October, but no dates have been confirmed. The band previously had tentative plans to headline a festival trek that was to have gotten underway this month, but that tour didn't get off the ground.
