DC Talk tour to spotlight its members' solo efforts
Tour dates are beginning to emerge for genre-hopping Christian band DC Talk . The tour will also feature music from its members' solo projects.
According to DC Talk's official website, the 32-city tour will kick off on Oct. 4 in Greenville, S.C., and wrap up on Nov. 17 in Dallas. The shows will include performances by TAIT (Michael Tait), tobyMac (Toby McKeehan) and Kevin Max (Kevin Smith), and will end with a set by the trio collectively known as DC Talk.
Earlier this year, the group released "Solo" (ForeFront), an EP under the name DC Talk that featured songs by the individual members' forthcoming projects.
TAIT's album "Empty" (Chordant) has already hit stores, spawning the No. 1 Christian single "All You Got."
Max's album "Stereotype B" is due in stores on Tuesday (8/28) while McKeehan's "Momentum" is expected to be released in November, according to DC Talk's website.
DC Talk's sound generally sticks in a pop-rock range, but the group also incorporates hip-hop influences. The band's 1995 album "Jesus Freak" sold more than a million copies.
