American Hi-Fi to mount lengthy fall road trip
American Hi-Fi is set to launch the next leg of its tour in support of its self-titled debut. The outing gets underway on Friday night (8/31) in the Boston-based bands home state, and includes a lengthy stretch of headlining and festival dates.
The groups itinerary includes performances at two high-profile radio festivals, the first being the Sept. 15 Weenie Roast in Charlotte, N.C., where the group will share the stage with 3 Doors Down, the Crystal Method, Stroke 9, prime sth, Nickelback, Poe and others, according to the radio stations official website.
On Sept. 22, the band will perform at the Bigger Day Out in Atlanta, a two-day festival that will include performances by 311, 3 Doors Down, Adema, Alien Ant Farm, Coldplay, Godsmack, Lifehouse, Lit, Living Colour, Dave Navarro, Nickelback, Sevendust, Tantric, Tenacious D and Tricky, according to the radio stations official website.
By late September, the group will begin its headlining run, which will feature support from Phantom Planet.
American Hi-Fis self-titled debut was released on Island Records in February, and features the groups current single, "Flavor of the Weak," which currently sits at No. 49 on the Billboard 100 singles chart, having recently peaked at 41. The group is fronted by Stacy Jones, who was formerly the drummer for popular 90s-era alternative acts Letters to Cleo and Veruca Salt.
