The Beta Band to mount fall tour
Building on the success of its recent stint as the show-opener on Radiohead 's sold-out summer tour, Scottish pop quartet the Beta Band will launch a headlining trek across the U.S. Oct. 15 in Atlanta. The jaunt is scheduled to run through early November.
Earlier this summer, Beta Band member John Maclean told liveDaily that U.S. audiences had been quite receptive to his band during the Radiohead tour.
"It's kind of strange because it's the first time we've ever supported anyone," he said. "I think [the audiences] are really interested in us. We're interested in them as well."
The band released its second full-length, "Hot Shots II" (Astralwerks), in July.
The Beta Band will precede its U.S. tour with a 13-date European outing that begins on Sept. 16 at the Botanique Festival in Brussels, Belgium.
