Boz Scaggs sets tour behind first new album in seven years
Boz Scaggs is kicking off a month-long tour on Oct. 20 in Houston in support of his latest album, "Dig."
An amalgamation of jazz, funk and R&B, "Dig" (Virgin Records) is Scaggs' first album of new material in seven years. Danny Kortchmar and David Paich, who also produced Scaggs' 1976 breakthrough record "Silk Degrees," produced "Dig." The album features guest appearances by Ray Parker Jr. and jazz horn player Roy Hargrove Jr.
Scaggs will make an appearance on the TV show "Ally McBeal" sometime in October, according to Scaggs' official website.
