Tesla backs new live album with more road work
Tesla , which last week released a live album, is heading back out on the road next month to support the collection.
Titled “RePlugged Live” (Sanctuary), the group’s latest release is a 20-track, 2-CD set that totals more than two hours of playing time. The collection was recorded in various cities on the group’s 2001 reunion tour, and includes the group’s hits “Modern Day Cowboy,” “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song.”
Prior to launching the next leg of its reunion tour, Tesla will appear on the syndicated radio program “Rockline” on Monday (9/24), according to Sanctuary Records; the group will perform live and will answer questions from listeners.
In addition to its new live release, Tesla is also planning to record its first studio album since 1994’s gold-certified "Bust a Nut," though no release date has been set.
Tesla broke up in 1996, but reunited for a sold-out show at the Arco Arena in its hometown of Sacramento, Calif., last October.
A handful of well-attended December shows followed, prompting a full-scale reunion tour that began in February and has been running almost non-stop ever since.
