Type O Negative prepares for Halloween tour
SEPT. 28, 4:45 P.M. ET Type O Negative is taking a break from writing a new album so that it can head out on its annual Halloween-season run, set to kick off on Oct. 24 in Worcester, Mass.
The itinerary--which includes the goth-metal group's annual Oct. 31 show in Philadelphia--goes through Nov. 3, but more dates are expected to be announced, according to a spokeswoman at the band's label, Roadrunner Records. The only confirmed opener on the tour is Dust to Dust, which recently ended a stint on the road with Dave Navarro.
Type O Negative released its last album, "Least Worst Of," a greatest hits compilation, in 2000.
Dust to Dust is pushing its self-titled debut, released on Sanctuary Records. Some of the album's tracks have been featured on the HBO series "Six Feet Under," as well as on the soundtrack to the upcoming Capcom video game "Heavy Metal: Geomatrix."
