Limp Bizkit to release remix album, DVD in November
Limp Bizkit will close 2001 with a flurry of activity, including the release of a remix album and a DVD. Featuring remixes by DJ Premiere, Timbaland, P Diddy, the Neptunes, William Orbit and Josh Abraham, "Limp Remizkit" is due in stores on Nov. 30, according to the band's management.
Singer Fred Durst described the contents of the DVD, also expected out on Nov. 30, in a posting on the band’s official website:
"The DVD will have all the ill home footage from the beginning till now, all the videos, new remix versions of the videos, never seen takes from the videos, hidden passage ways to unseen video, hidden levels almost impossible to find with even more private footage, dope screensavers, and wallpapers."
Durst also appears on "What's Going On," a five-track EP due in stores on Oct. 23. The CD--which also features Destiny's Child, Bono and Backstreet Boys--features different mixes of the classic Marvin Gaye song, including one by Durst. Though proceeds from the project were first earmarked to benefit AIDS relief groups, a portion will now be directed to the United Way's September 11th Fund.
Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls joined Durst's Limp Bizkit bandmate Wes Borland for an acoustic rendition of the Pink Floyd song "Wish You Were Here" during the "America: A Tribute to Heroes" telethon on Sept. 21.
