Rapper Snoop Dogg --who has dubbed his current outing the Puff, Puff Pass tour--was charged with possession of marijuana after two of his tour busses were pulled over for speeding near Cleveland on Wednesday (10/17). No tour dates were affected.
Ohio State University police reportedly found about 200 grams of marijuana on one bus. Snoop and two passengers were charged with the misdemeanor offense, which could carry a fine of up to $100.
Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, which carries a maximum sentence of 30 days in prison.
"Butterflies," a new track from Michael Jackson 's forthcoming album, "Invincible," is currently streaming at Jackson's official website.
The original members of Twisted Sister will reunite for their first public performance in 14 years during "New York Steel," a Nov. 28 benefit show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The Ace Frehley Band, Anthrax, Overkill, Sebastian Bach, and "surprise guests" will also appear, according to organizers. The show will raise funds for the families of police officers and firefighters who were casualties of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Diamond Rio, Montgomery Gentry and Earl Scruggs have been added to Nashville's Oct. 21 Country Freedom Concert, and the show has been expanded from two hours to three.
George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, George Jones, Lonestar, Lee Ann Womack, Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood, Hank Williams Jr. and Sara Evans will also perform at the concert, which will support the Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund.
Online music company Pressplay, which already has deals with major labels Sony, Universal and EMI, announced on Thursday (10/18) its licensing deals with six independent labels: Madacy, Navarre, OWIE, Razor & Tie, Roadrunner and Rounder.

Rapper Ja Rule will costar with Steven Seagal in the action film "Half Past Dead," Rolling Stone reported.
Ja Rule had a role in the recent hit film "The Fast and the Furious." His new album, "Pain Is Love," has spent two consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart.
Seagal teamed up for his last film, "Exit Wounds," with rapper DMX, whose new album, "The Great Depression," drops next Tuesday (10/23).
