Melissa Etheridge plots more dates to back 'Skin'
Etheridge's latest round of dates includes a two-night stand in Dallas. The singer-songwriter was originally scheduled to play a single show in that city on Sept. 11, but postponed the performance due to that day's terrorist attacks.
Currently, Etheridge's last scheduled date in 2001 is her Dec. 12 headlining performance at San Francisco radio station KFOG's Concert for Kids, which will also feature Better Than Ezra and Luce.
Etheridge has also lined up the first batch of dates for her 2002 European tour, which is scheduled to begin in early February.
Preferred tickets to a number of upcoming concert dates are available through Etheridge's official fan club, according to her official website.
Dubbed the "live … and alone" tour, Etheridge's outing in support of "Skin" (Island) does, in fact, feature the singer-songwriter performing alone with an acoustic guitar. She gave just such a performance at last month's Paul McCartney-led "Concert for New York," where she played her 1994 hit "Come to My Window" and covered Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run."
On Saturday (11/3), Etheridge performed the national anthem at game six of the World Series in Phoenix.
Etheridge's tour in support of "Skin" continues on Tuesday night (11/6) in San Diego.
