Ozzy fractures leg in fall, Merry Mayhem on hold

Heavy metal godfather Ozzy Osbourne postponed 10 dates on his Merry Mayhem tour after he fell and fractured his leg while exiting the shower.

The accident occurred on Oct. 31, the same day the tour kicked off in Tucson, Ariz., according to his spokeswoman. Osbourne continued to perform until Nov. 8, when a physician diagnosed Osbourne with a stress fracture.

Merry Mayhem concerts scheduled for Nov. 9-24--in Houston, Bossier City, La., Knoxville, Tenn., Nashville, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Birmingham, Ala., West Palm Beach, Fla., Greensboro, N.C, and Atlanta--have been postponed. There was no immediate word on when those concerts will be rescheduled.

Osbourne has returned home to Los Angeles, where he was scheduled to visit his personal physician for a second opinion. He is expected to resume touring Nov. 29 when the Merry Mayhem tour hits Grand Fork, N.D.

The jaunt, which wraps up Dec. 29 in San Diego, also includes performances by Rob Zombie and Mudvayne .
