Morissette got nods in the Best Songwriter, Best Album, Best Pop/Adult Album, Best Video, and Best Female Artist categories. Prozzak, an animated cartoon band featuring characters voiced by Philosopher Kings members Jason Levine and James McCollum, was nominated for four Junos: Best Single, Album, New Group and Video.

Also picking up four nominations (Best New Solo Artist, Pop/Adult Album, Songwriter and Producer) was Tal Bachman, the son of Bachman Turner Overdrive's Randy Bachman. The Matthew Good Band, a Vancouver-based rock act, got nominations in the Best Single, Best Group, Best Rock Album, and Best Video categories.

Award winners will be announced March 12 at the SkyDome in Toronto during a ceremony that will be hosted by The Moffatts and telecast by the CBC network. A complete list of nominees is posted on the official Juno Awards website.
