Train tackles U.S. itinerary before heading overseas
Pop-rock band Train has taken to the road to play a combination of holiday radio festivals and headlining concerts before traveling overseas.
On Jan. 13, the San Francisco-based band will kick off a European tour, which was postponed after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
On Dec. 18, the group releases its DVD, "Midnight Moon," a concert taped in May at a sold-out show at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre. It includes their cover of Led Zeppelin's "Ramble On." The concert will also be featured on pay-per-view throughout December and early January.
Train released "Drops of Jupiter," its sophomore effort for Columbia, in March. The double-platinum record yielded two hits--the title track and "Something More."
Train was recently nominated for 2001 My VH1 Music Awards in the categories named Welcome to the Big Time and Damn I Wish I Wrote That.
