Guest musicians pitch in on Alanis Morissette new CD

Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, Stone Temple Pilots' Dean DeLeo and Meshell Ndegeocello are among the guest musicians who appear on Alanis Morissette 's forthcoming "Under Rug Swept" (Maverick), due in stores on Feb. 26.

According to Morissette's publicist, the album will include 11 of the 25 tracks that the artist recently recorded and produced at studios in Los Angeles and her native Canada. A subsequent release containing some of the tracks that were not included on "Under Rug Swept" will follow, but no release date has been set.

The album's first single, "Hands Clean," will be released in mid-January, along with a video that was shot in Los Angeles by director Francis Lawrence (Backstreet Boys, Jennifer Lopez, Aerosmith).

Morissette will open a world tour, beginning in North America, following the album's release. Specifics of the outing haven't been announced.
