Creed taps Tantric to support on first leg of 2002 tour
update: Louisville, Ky.-based Tantric , a band anchored by three former members of Days of the New, will be one of two bands to support Creed on its January and February tour dates. The second opening act hasn't been announced.
Eighteen January and February shows--mostly east of the Mississippi--are on Creed's initial 2002 itinerary. The group--which is supporting its No. 1 album "Weathered" (Wind-Up)---is expected to spend most of the year on the road.
Tantric's self-titled debut album was released by Maverick in February.
Puddle of Mudd, which was previously announced as the opening act for the Creed dates, backed out of the tour last week.
