Limp Bizkit to tour U.S. in search of new guitarist
Guitarists who've always hoped to be part of a multi-platinum-selling rock group are about to get their shot. Limp Bizkit , which earlier this year lost guitarist Wes Borland, is heading out next year on a nationwide talent search for a replacement.
Dubbed the Put Your Guitar Where Your Mouth Is tour, Bizkit's outing is scheduled to kick off in early January, and stops are planned at Guitar Center outlets in 23 major U.S. markets. Guitarists will be auditioned throughout the day beginning at 10 a.m. local time, and a select number will be asked to jam with the band, according to a band press release.
The band is also setting up a website to which guitarists who are not able to make it to one of the auditions listed below will be able to upload a sample of their guitar work. Guitarists whose samples pique the band's interest will be flown to one of the on-site auditions. More details will be made available at the band's official website.

In October, original Limp Bizkit guitarist Borland announced that he had left the group.
