Sum 41 set to kick off U.S. headlining tour
Sum 41 , which ended 2001 with a series of radio festival appearances, will return to the road next week for a 10-date run through the western U.S.
The group's upcoming U.S. shows will feature support from Unwritten Law and Gob. Both bands opened for Sum 41 during its fall tour, which focused on the eastern U.S.
"All Killer, No Filler" (Island), Sum 41's major-label debut, surfaced last May. The album, which last August peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 album chart, has sold about 1.4 million copies to date, according to industry sources.
Sum 41 recently shot a video for its next single, "Motivation," according to the band's official website. The site plans to stream the video.
Last year, Sum 41 rose to prominence thanks to a slot on the 2001 Warped Tour. The Canadian quartet also opened last fall on a series of dates with fellow pop-punkers Blink-182.
Following its impending January U.S. tour, Sum 41 will head to Japan for a series of February concerts.
