Kid Rock nails down tour route
Kid Rock has announced the details for his winter-spring North American tour, slated to kick off with a sold-out show on Feb. 22 in Saginaw, Mich.
This leg runs through May 4, when Kid Rock and his band, Twisted Brown Trucker, perform as part of Atlanta’s Music Midtown 2002 festival. The itinerary also includes stops at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tenn., and a hometown show at the Palace of Auburn Hills near Detroit.
The rap-rocker's summer tour itinerary is expected to be announced soon, according to a press release.
Kid Rock is touring in support of his platinum-selling record “Cocky” (Atlantic), which spawned the hit “Forever.” The second single, “Lonely Road of Faith,” is scheduled to hit radio on Feb. 25; its video, which uses footage from Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker’s performance at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, is in rotation on MTV.
Recently, Kid Rock has appeared on “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “American Music Awards,” “Politically Incorrect” and “Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.”
He also appears on Hank Williams Jr.'s new album "The Almeria Club Recordings" (Curb), on the song "The F Word." The two men will perform together on Country Music Television's "Crossroads" on Feb. 17.
