Incubus to lead 50-city Civic Tour

Southern California rock band Incubus will headline the latest incarnation of the Honda-sponsored Civic Tour. The 50-date outing kicks off on April 11.
The inaugural Civic Tour, which took place in 2001, visited intimate venues and included two separate legs headlined by Blink-182 and Everclear. The 2002 tour will tour the arena circuit.
According to a press release, an exclusive online ticket pre-sale will launch on Feb. 16 at the tour's official website.
Incubus' sixth and latest CD, "Morning View," was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America after just 10 weeks in stores.
Honda's sponsorship of the tour is an attempt to connect with the youth market, and the company is pushing its new Civic Si model this year. Incubus will custom-design and autograph six new Honda Civic Sis, which will tour the country and be on display at the concerts. One of the Incubus Sis will be awarded through a national online promotion at the Civic Tour website, and the other five will be awarded via as-yet undisclosed media promotions.
