Dave Matthews Band sets up summer shed tour
Tickets for the new summer dates will initially be available through a lottery system at Dave Matthews' official fan club, Warehouse, beginning on either Feb. 27, Feb. 28 or March 1. More details are available at the group's official website.
Public on-sale dates have not yet been announced, but are expected to take place in April.
Also on Feb. 27, Dave Matthews Band is scheduled to appear at the 44th annual Grammy Awards, performing its Grammy-nominated song "The Space Between," featured on last year's "Everyday" (RCA). The song is nominated in the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal category.
Dave Matthews Band is currently at work on the follow-up to "Everyday." The band will produce the album with longtime engineer Steve Harris. No release date has been announced for the as-yet untitled album.
"Everyday" has sold just over 3 million copies since its release last February, according to industry sources.
Last year, Dave Matthews Band's summer tour grossed $60.5 million, making it the fourth top-grossing outing of 2001, according to Pollstar.
