'80s hair-metal heroes Poison launch summer package tour
Poison has announced the first dates of a two-part shed tour with fellow '80s glam-metal idols Cinderella, Winger and Faster Pussycat, beginning May 16 in Tupelo, MS, and continuing through July.
Fans were disappointed last August when Bobby Dall, bassist for Poison, underwent unexpected back surgery, effectively calling off the band's Glam Slam Metal Jam tour. Known for warm-weather outings with Dokken, Great White and Ratt, the band had just come off of dates with Warrant and Enuff Z'Nuff when Dall fell ill.
Known for mid-'80s hits "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Talk Dirty to Me," Poison, fronted by Bret Michaels, has not released a studio album of new material since 1993's "Native Tongue."
