The Cranberries announce North American tour

Irish band the Cranberries has announced initial dates for a North American tour beginning in May, titled after their fifth album, "Wake Up and Smell the Coffee" (MCA).

The dates mark the band's first full-production tour of North American since playing in support of "Bury the Hatchet" in 1999, although it played a series of U.S. dates last fall and winter.

Advance tickets for the tour were offered to fans through Ticketmaster at the band's official website, before the remainder officially went on sale to the public March 5.

Universal Records plans to reissue the band's four earlier albums, "Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can't We?," "No Need To Argue," "To the Faithful Departed" and "Bury the Hatchet" later this year.
