Ex-Replacements leader playing record stores across the U.S.
Reclusive rocker Paul Westerberg , who will release his fourth solo album, "Stereo" (Vagrant), on April 23, has announced a series of in-store appearances.
According to his label, Westerberg will appear alone with an acoustic guitar and play cuts off "Stereo."
The singer has not toured in five years and has been virtually unheard of since leaving Capitol Records, his former label, following the release of 1999's under-performing "Suicaine Gratifaction."
Earlier this year, L.A.-based independent label Vagrant Record announced it would be releasing "Stereo," as well as "Mono," the limited edition full-length from Westerberg's alter ego Grandpa Boy.
Westerberg will also play the "Late Show with David Letterman" April 29.
