Lenny Kravitz digs in for a long summer tour

Retro-tinged rocker Lenny Kravitz will launch a summer tour of the U.S. July 12 in Virginia Beach, Va, and he's bringing party-pop diva Pink and alt-rock band Abandoned Pools along for support.

Kravitz's latest album, "Lenny" (Virgin), was released last November and debuted at No. 12 on Billboard 200 album chart. It's debut single, "Dig In," earned Kravitz a Grammy for Male Rock Vocal Performance.

Kravitz is currently on tour in Japan, but returns home to play the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans on April 26-27 and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on May 3. He heads to Europe to play shows during May and June.

Pink kicks off her first headlining tour May 2 in Phoenix, while Abandon Pools begins a 30-date North American tour April 19 in Toronto.
