Another Pack of ‘80s Metal Icons Forges a Tour

Hair-metal acts Dokken [ tickets ], Ratt [ tickets ], Warrant [ tickets ], Firehouse and L.A. Guns [ tickets ] have announced the itinerary for Rock Fest 2002, a 22-date package tour which is set to begin June 20 in Fargo, N.D.

The tour, sponsored by Metal Edge magazine, joins three other, unrelated ‘80s-metal nostalgia outings this summer, headlined by Tesla, Scorpions and Poison, respectively.

Although relatively new recordings are available from Dokken (“Long Way Home,” released in April on Sanctuary) and Firehouse (“O2,” released by Spitfire), Rock Fest promises a greatest hits-oriented show.
