Willie Nelson Announces 15th Annual Farm Aid Benefit Concert
Willie Nelson , Neil Young , John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews are the first confirmed performers for Farm Aid 2002, set for Sept. 21 at the Post-Gazette Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Penn.
More artists are yet to be announced. The event will be broadcast live over Country Music Television (CMT).
Country legend Nelson has headed the festival since its first incarnation, 15 years ago, when he, Young and Mellencamp organized the first benefit concert to help family farms and raise awareness about the dangers of an increase in factory farming. Farm Aid has raised more than $24 million since then.
